Terms of Use

"We" and "us" mean Toolbelt Index (toolbeltindex.com). By using the site you agree to these terms.

Toolbelt Index is for businesses. To use the site or buy from us, you must be 18 or older and using it for your business.

We research every tool, but features, prices and plans change, and vendors make mistakes too. Information on the site is provided as-is, without warranties. Check details with the vendor before you buy or sign anything.

User quotes are the reviewers' own words, not ours.

A listing is not an endorsement. We don't rank tools, and the order of a list is not a ranking.

Sponsored spots and Launch Spotlight mentions are always labeled Sponsored. Some vendor links are referral links. Paying never changes what we write about a tool. See Disclosures.

Links to other sites are for your convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.

Launch Spotlight, Sponsored spots and the Business Review are described on List your tool and Business Review and setup. Stripe handles payment. Refunds and cancellations follow our Refund & Cancellation policy.

We can decline or remove a paid spot for a tool that is misleading, unlawful, or not relevant to trade and service businesses. If we remove it for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund any unused paid time.

• Prices are in US dollars. Stripe processes every payment.
• A Sponsored spot is a monthly subscription. It renews on the same date each month, at the price you signed up for, until you cancel. Cancel anytime by email. Your spot stays up until the end of the month you paid for.
• If we change a subscription price, we'll email you 7 to 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then.
• If sales tax applies, we'll add it at checkout and show it before you pay.
• If a charge looks wrong, email us first and we'll make it right. If you dispute a charge that was correct under these terms, we may pause the paid spot until the bank decides.

• The Business Review is $750. If you move forward with setup, the $750 counts toward it.
• Please give us accurate information and the access we ask for, on time.
• Setup and custom agent work follows the written proposal you approve. Where the proposal and these terms differ, the proposal wins for that work.
• Results depend on your business and how the tools are used, so we can't promise a specific outcome.
• Our advice is general business advice. It is not legal, tax or financial advice.

Please send accurate information. You let us use what you send to reply to you, deliver what you asked for, and update listings. We decide what goes in a listing and how it's written.

When you send listing details, logos or corrections, you confirm they are yours to share (or you have permission). You let us show them on the site and in the weekly email.

Think something here uses your work or brand without permission? Email hello@toolbeltindex.com with the page link, what you own, and how to reach you. We'll review it and fix or remove it if needed.

• Don't send spam, malware or automated form submissions.
• Don't try to get around our security or rate limits.
• Don't copy the site in bulk or load it in a way that slows it down for others.

The site's text, design and logo belong to Toolbelt Index. Tool names and logos belong to their owners. We show them to identify the tools. That doesn't mean the owner endorses us, or that we endorse the tool.

We can suspend or end access to the site or a paid spot for anyone who breaks these terms. If we remove a listing or paid spot because you broke these terms, there's no refund. See the Refund & Cancellation policy.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Toolbelt Index is not liable for indirect, incidental or lost-profit damages from using the site or our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.

Some states don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona. Please email us first. Most problems can be fixed with a reply.

• If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still stands.
• These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation policy and any proposal you approve make up the whole agreement between us.
• If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
• You need our written OK to transfer these terms to someone else. We can transfer them if Toolbelt Index changes hands.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
