Some vendor links on Toolbelt Index may be referral or affiliate links. We may earn a referral fee when you visit a vendor through those links and later buy. Those links use rel="sponsored nofollow".
Paid spots are always labeled. The sponsored row on each home page card says Sponsored. When a card has more than one sponsor, the row rotates between them evenly on each visit. A sponsored spot at the top of a need page says Featured · Sponsored. A Launch Spotlight mention says Sponsored. Paying for a placement does not change what we write about what the tool does.
Referral fees and sponsorships never change the order or the tool counts in the needs lists and the trade lists. A paid spot does not move a tool above the others, and it does not change how many tools a need or a trade shows.
We quote reviews word for word and show the reviewer's trade and team size when the source gives it.
Launch Spotlight is a one-time paid mention in New this week and the weekly email, and the issue says when an item is sponsored. A Sponsored spot is a monthly paid spot on one need. No one can buy a badge or a better write-up. See List your tool for current prices.
A basic listing is free and editorial. We can decline a tool that is not real, not relevant to the trades, or that we cannot describe without inventing a price.
Some outbound links on New This Week go to press releases and news stories. Those are sources. An item is a paid mention only when the issue says it is sponsored.
Done-for-you setup is our own service. Advice on that call is ours. A vendor does not buy it.
